Curriculum
Lesson

Dr.
Vincenne Revilla Beltran, director and founder of Project:Children
LEAD has developed a series of themes appropriate to early childhood
and elementary education students*. These themes are:
|
Getting
to Know You
I
Am Special You Are Special Too
Families
and Neighborhoods
Foods
and Languages of the World
Physical
Differences
Using
Words to Work Things Out
International
Festival: Passport to the World
|
Dr.
Revilla recommends using these themes when introducing multicultural
concepts to young learners. Teachers are encouraged to develop units
and lesson plans around these themes utilizing a wide range of materials,
age appropriate literature, art and music with a hands-on, active
learning approach.
*These themes can be used with all ages; they have been adapted effectively for use with university students and as part of adult training programs.
